Street Chronicles:
The Art of Everyday
Moments

A project born out of my deep fascination with the rhythm of urban life.

Since 2017, I’ve wandered the streets with my old film camera, seeking to capture the essence of everyday moments that often pass unnoticed in the hustle and bustle of city living. This project is my tribute to the beauty found in the ordinary, the quiet poetry that exists in the unremarkable corners of our world.

The idea for Street Chronicles came to me during one of my early morning walks through the city. I was struck by the way the first light of day bathed everything in a golden glow, revealing the hidden textures and details of the urban landscape. It was in that moment I realized that the streets are alive with stories—stories that deserve to be told. With my film camera in hand, I set out to document these moments, embracing the raw and imperfect nature of analog photography to preserve the authenticity of each scene.

About project

Each block, each alleyway, had its own unique character, shaped by the people who lived and worked there. I sought to capture the fleeting glances, the subtle interactions, and the spontaneous moments that define our shared experiences in public spaces.

What makes this project special to me is the connection I’ve built with the people I photograph. Often, a simple nod or smile would lead to a brief conversation, giving me a glimpse into their lives and adding depth to the images I captured. These interactions reinforced my belief that the streets are more than just a backdrop; they are a canvas on which the stories of countless individuals are painted. Each photograph in Street Chronicles is a snapshot of these shared moments, a testament to the idea that we are all connected by the simple act of living.

It’s a celebration of the everyday art that exists all around us. It’s an invitation to slow down, to observe, and to appreciate the small, often overlooked details that make up the fabric of our daily lives.

In creating this project, I’ve also come to understand the importance of preserving these moments in their truest form. Film photography, with its organic textures and unpredictable quirks, has allowed me to capture the streets as they are—imperfect, gritty, and full of life. It’s a medium that mirrors the reality of the world I’m documenting, where every frame is a reflection of the authenticity I strive to maintain in my work.
Street Chronicles is a testament to the idea that art doesn’t always have to be grand or staged; sometimes, it’s found in the most ordinary places, in the simplest interactions. As you journey through this collection, I hope you find a piece of your own story reflected in these images—a reminder that the streets we walk every day are filled with moments of unexpected beauty, just waiting to be discovered.
